Hello,

I have an EQ7 and 3 frothers. One works perfectly, the others squirt the milk through the whole house and don't foam and with a steam it even goes on forever.
It's definitely due to deposits.

I left it in vinegar for 1/2 week and the vinegar is now completely full of milk flakes.

The squirt is better advertised, but far from gone.

I have 1 more day in vinegar but don't see any new milk flakes floating in the vinegar.

Is there no better liquid to clean than vinegar?

wouldn't mind simply disposing of the two foamers, because they look like new in themselves.

Thanks already! smile.gif

But you can see very nicely on the cut piece that the wood of the pipe is not "through". So the deposits went "only" inwards and reduced the cross-section.
This means that if the owner had cleaned the pipe from time to time, it would still be as good as new.
UND: So a pipe can get very old.

Hello,

Had been pickled in vinegar again for 1 day, but did not see any new milk flakes floating in the vinegar.

Hello rather syberstef,

a coffee machine with milk frother you should never decalcify with vinegar . Although vinegar consists of water and acetic acid, it is not optimally suited for decalcification. Although vinegar dissolves many deposits, it does not clean the machine as well and, above all, does not remove fats without leaving a residue. Also with vinegar a high odour nuisance is given. The smell of vinegar is also difficult to remove from the machine. In the worst case it can also happen that vinegar residues are not completely rinsed out, then your coffee tastes like vinegar. In addition, vinegar takes longer to pass through than special coffee machine descalers.
Therefore, one should rather orientate oneself to the guidelines of the manufacturer. It is also better to use special decalcifiers. Most good decalcifiers are based on milk or citric acid.

Greetings!

Even if it is already a bit older thread:

My dealer has urgently straightened me to use the original cleaner for the milk runschämer of the machine manufacturer and to make the cleanings after recommendation of the machine. There is also a good result.

You don't really need much of it, so that one of the small bottle snow is loosely enough for 20 cleanings.

In addition, I should remove the milk nozzles every evening and rinse them, like to leave them in clear water overnight.
My Jura rinses the milk system alone after each use but that is not enough in the long run.
