- Error 6

Clear text: Calcification monitoring reports error.

Causes / Troubleshooting:

Some models have a dummy cable on the rear of the machine. A contact plug in which a resistor has been covered with a protective tube.
This sensor should be used to measure calcification states, but this has never been completed.
Fault 6 actually means: Sensor is above the measuring tolerance - Clean contacts of the plug, dry, possibly use contact spray.

Is it possible to start decalcification, if so, then 2-3 times.

Hi,
I also had fault 6 yesterday on my Jura Impressa Z5.

The ceramic valve started going crazy when descaling....

-Unplugged machine-Housing
opened - only on the ceramic valve side-Ceramic valve connector
was wet

....

Disconnected the connector - the contacts of the connector were corroded.
-removed the ceramic valve from its anchorage to get better access to the plug.
Cleaned plug and socket contacts with emery, paper towel and contact spray and plugged and unplugged them several times.
Functional test - works again - plug connection
provisionally sealed with insulating tape.
-Search for leak - cover of heaters removed-So
nothing obvious to see directly - but it must be coming out somewhere by the heaters.
-Restarting the decalcification process with the housing open.(Caution Electrical hazard)-Found
leak at the right hose connection of the right heater.
- Dripping water caught provisionally with kitchen paper (electrician's tongs) until the decalcification process was finished.
-After cooling down, dismantled the leaking hose and examined it - no obvious damage - it was just sitting quite far down. Didn't have a suitable replacement so I refitted the hose - just pushed it on further down the port.
-Did leak test - tight....
-ordered a new hose and new clamps -clamps with locking plate and clamping spring.
The currently installed clamps are Cobra clamps 8-9mm - At the hose outer diameter of 8.2mm, but that seems too weak to me when the hose gives way over time.
