Hello

I want to check the setting for the coffee quantity because the coffee is very thin all of a sudden.

I read here how to do it (somehow pull the plug - press the button (but which one?) when inserting it - then you're in the menu, but you can't find it anymore. Can anyone help me?

Thank you,

Rainer

You have to turn the machine, turn it around, turn it around. Purely theoretically, manufacturers always mark their machines somewhere with a so-called "model designation". Sometimes secret and hidden, but often also clearly visible!
With such a designation it is possible to download a so-called "operating manual" from the Internet if you have lost your own, or have recycled raw materials.
Then it should be possible to change the amount of coffee on a trial basis wink.gif

I know it's a Krups XP7220 (I also wrote it when I posted it, but I don't see it anymore...) and I downloaded the manual some time ago and didn't think about it there - but it doesn't contain the coffee quantity. It is a hidden menu which is only accessible by pressing a certain key (combination?) when plugging in. I've done it before, but I can't remember how.

Back to 1, observe the puk strength at 1 and then back to 5.
What is the consistency of the grind?

MfG Chris

Reset to 1: I've done. VERY thin coffee, almost no coffee pack in the jar, and what was inside was wet.

Back to 5: no change to before. The grind looks OK, but it somehow sounds like no beans are coming into the mill - but there's nothing to see above.

I have the impression that the coffee grounds in the coffee container are a little damp because the coffee is too thin.

Suck out the grinder, then people inside if something doesn't belong there.
The best way would be to take the grinder out of the waste incineration plant, then it could be cleaned properly.
My guess is that coffee fat and fine grinding dust have constituted themselves in the grinder and are thus responsible for the least coffee grist.

MfG Chris

Thanks a lot!

Can anyone help me how to set the coffee quantity on an EA8298? I have a completely different menu where I can only test the machine but not set it. I have already tried everything sad.gif
