Hello!

The fully automatic coffee maker "Franke Flair" does not foam the milk or the milk supply for Latte Macciato / hot milk work properly (generally for products with milk):
I decalcified the machine regularly when I was asked to do so with a special cleaner (amidosulfonic acid), even now 2 times after the problems occurred. But it doesn't do much good.
We'll explain the problem in more detail:
When you press the button for Latte Macciato, foam comes out of the right nozzle, when the left one switches on for milk, only a small amount sprays out of both nozzles, so no real "jet" anymore.
Even if you press the superheated steam button to foam up manually, a very small amount of milk sprays out of the two milk nozzles.
I completely disassembled the hoses and nozzles, "put" them in the hot water a little bit, and then rinsed everything vigorously and put them back together again, but this doesn't bring any improvement.
But if you e.g. pressing the cappuccino button, the setting will only produce foam (right nozzle) this works reasonably well, but not as great as it did a few days ago when the problem wasn't there yet.
Do any of you have any ideas what the bug might be?
Thank you already!

(I, or we, run a cafeteria at our school, as an advanced project economics course, the machine has been purchased used, has worked flawlessly the last 2 years.)

That's how it looks by the way:

Na then, thank you!

Hello, so I think this could be a difficult birth, because nobody probably knows this machine here.
First I would fill the milk container with a mixture of water and special cappuccino cleanser and then draw steam or the corresponding milk drinks so that both lances are rinsed through. If that doesn't help, I'd go for the valve that switches between the lances. I hope there's a valve there?

Thanks again, I will rinse tomorrow with the cleaner.
The lances on the right are hot water & steam.
The milk is automatically sucked out of the milk carton with 2 hoses and heated or foamed. Only that there are no misunderstandings.
The hoses and the whole unit with the foamer I have already cleaned several times. I have attached 2 more pictures.
As I said, we only do this in school, everyone takes over a part, I just reported myself for the "Technical"^
If you can't get it to work anymore, you just have to let someone come.
Wants to ask only here if someone happened to have had such a problem wink.gif

Since the machine has an automatic cleaning program for the milk system, I don't think it could be due to contamination. If the machine is out of warranty, you can call your Franke dealer, maybe they can give you a guy on the phone. And since you're responsible for technical matters, you're going to make a high school course out of it. wink.gif But as I said, it's going to be hard for someone here to help you. But maybe someone else will call. Would definitely be interesting if you would post the next steps here.

I got a reply from the manufacturer to my letter:

td id='QUOTE'>Very dear sir ...,

>I take from your error description that probably not enough steam is dosed at the outlet. The reason for this is probably the two solenoid valves for milk and milk foam.
These solenoid valves probably no longer close correctly.

in connection.

before you should however again carry out a decalcification with the decalcifier article no. 1P315430 recommended by us.
If you have further questions, the Undzeichner is available to you with pleasure.

With kind regards

... etc.

Once more I won't descaling, has lasted half a day... That already 2 times in a row, the last time almost with pure decalcifier, better can be ned.

Maybe I guessed right with the valve. So if there's no guarantee, covers off and off we go. One or 2 valves should not be witchcraft and you save your school a heap of money.

You mean just clean the valves?
Or order a new one and then install it?

Remove and blow through, then you will see if one of them doesn't open or close enough anymore. First see if there is a voltage on the valves, then you can control them with a foreign voltage, provided you know something about electrics. You know, you can't see electricity, but you feel it all the better! blink.gif

Hello!

>On Friday I dumped decalcifier into the machine again, and then simply unplugged the machine, let it work over the weekend, and rinsed it 2 times today.
Now it works again, you don't have to dismantle anything, and today I've already been looking for screws or other things, don't ask me how to open the part...
Maybe the manufacturer has an exploded view, so I'll ask you, in case you have any problems, there's an exploded view at the manufacturer... rolleyes.gif

Look at how long the thing lasts, on Friday there is a so-called school family day, where primary school pupils look at the school with their parents, due to a possible transfer to the Gymbnasium. The machine will overheat biggrin.gif

Thank you!

I'm glad the machine's working again. If the valves were still a little calcified. Have fun on Friday and thank you for your feedback. Maybe you'll get a taste for it and get a KVA as well wink.gif

Also have a flair, in itself a very good machine, only there is no information in the net, did you get drawings and documents? Where can I get cheap spare parts? Is it possible to have the machine overhauled at a reasonable price? In the factory dman here we get rid of about 1000€.
Has anyone any sources of information?

I also have a Franke flair, with exactly the same problem.
My has already made 40.000 products, bought them 2 years ago and had them repaired 2 times. Here in Osterrönfeldt there is Coffeeworld which are quite fit and cheap!

hallo
the problem with the milk can only be due to 3 things
da the milk is conveyed with the venturi principle

1 of the two milk nozzles is blocked and should be replaced
2 the steam pipes are blocked
or the steam valve (is calcified ) should be replaced

for opening the KM you need a special screwdriver in special form
