ESAM 6600

DeLonghi ESAM 6600 Here are our first experiences with the ESAM 6600:

No previous knowledge concerning Fully automatic coffee machines available

Bought before Christmas 08 in Mediamarkt for € 990,-

Unpack, Set up: Perfectly processed, Solid overall impression
Commissioning: without problems
Programming for personal use Requirements: according to operating instructions / simple >br>Handling Milk container: Initially needs getting used to, now routinely simple, somewhat complex >br>Handling Cleaning/emptying container and Drip tray: very simple
Handling brewing group: very simple
Operating noise: ok (grinder "quiet")
Performance to date: 390 cups, of which approx. 20% with milk container
Problems: none

Result: highly recommended if the price is right...

Notes:
The machine is less suitable if the coffee drinker community consists of more than 4 persons:
- The coffee grounds container as well as the water container have to be operated correspondingly often,
Improvement suggestion: Reverse counter for coffee grounds pellets in the display;

Coffee varieties: In the meantime we have tested 6 types of coffee; all not edible
We have chosen Arabica 100% Crema. Coffee with the inscription Espresso is probably better suited for pure espresso preparation ?!

I can't claim that. I myself felt at that time that an espresso variety was best for the long coffee. The crema mixtures were personally mostly too weak for me.
