Hello together,
I was actually logged in to this forum once but my data were no longer accepted, so I had to re-register. Now good.
I'm considering switching from a SAECO EVO Latte+ to a Siemens EQ9 S700. I've also seen so many YT videos on the product. What I haven't found out so far is something about the bean containers.
You can create profiles in the machine. If I now create one and also have to change the bean container, this is also stored in the profile, so that the machine changes the bean container when selecting my profile and the Kaffee´s stored there, if it stands on the other container?
Wouldn't otherwise be something absurd, if this is not taken into account.
Another question is reliability. We once had a Siemens S60 and were really satisfied with it, but then switched to SAECO due to the automatic milk foaming. I have already seen here that the series allegedly has defects. Is that really so?

Hello Martin,
> Unfortunately the model variety at Siemens is very large and confusing. So there are also different versions for the EQ.9 S700.
I have had an EQ.9 S700 for 13 months now (E-No.: TI917531DE/03). With this model you can't save the grinder for a certain type of coffee in the profile.
I personally don't find that so bad. The grinder I just selected can be recognized by a bright blue LED and I just stuck small signs on it, which type of coffee is in which grinder. If you try out different types of coffee, it changes constantly anyway and you might have to update your profile to keep up with it.
Now something about the quality of the fully automatic coffee machine:
You also read a lot of negative reports, but I am very satisfied. So far no problems and all types of coffee are still produced with the same taste as in the beginning.
My wife and I take care of them carefully. This means:
- rinse the milk system after each use
- empty and clean the drip tray and coffee grounds container after each use
- set the water filter to the correct hardness of the water and always replace it when it is displayed
- always decalcify it immediately when it is displayed < br>- always clean the brewing unit thoroughly immediately when it is displayed < br>>We are not the extremely strong coffee drinkers now. In the 13 months we drank 1250 cups of different types of coffee - mainly with milk - (which corresponds on average to about 3 cups per day). This only so that you can better estimate our "load" of the fully automatic coffee machine.
I would not make use of the annual service offered by Siemens. Too expensive from my point of view. An inspection service costs 99,50 € with the suspicious additional remark that if something is defective, this will be charged additionally - no statement that this does not apply during the warranty period. You can get a brand-new brewing unit for about 75 € on the internet and that is the only really critical part from my point of view. I will buy this soon as a reserve.
I hope this will help you a little with your decision
Many greetings
Norbert
