I have the problem that my Krups EA 810870 only flashes blue after I turn it on and doesn't seem to warm up.
If I press the power button again, it beeps 2 times and all the red LEDs light up like KITT in Knight Rider (left to right and back again).
It's not possible to press a button either.
It also cannot be turned off, only unplugged.
I have now tried RESET, but during RESET, water only comes out of the steam nozzle, not the drain.
If I turn the machine back on after reset, I have the same problem as before reset.

Do you have a solution to this problem?

The problem of the leds lighting up at any time, and blocking the machine (you can't control anything with the buttons, or even turn it off), and you get rid of it temporarily by unplugging and replugging your coffee maker, look no further (I did it for you).
Order the power board from an authorized KRUPS dealer and do a factory reset (the procedure is described above and on other forums.
There are some variations, but you will succeed if you try several times.
Be aware that at some point no lights are on, but don't think that the machine is turned off. You will have to press the small memory coffee.
Here you go. It took me a total of two weeks in two tries to figure out what it was.
No need to go and dismantle the flow meter and all that.

For those who say that changing the grinder makes the machine unusable, it's false and very false. I did it and for the last three years I have had a much finer grind (because the original fine grind made my grains look like fine couscous, so they were much too big).tongue.gif

Thanks for the great instructions, unfortunately I have the same problem, has anyone found a solution yet?

the problem is the two contacts on the heater.
They are located behind the black rubber held in place by a leaf spring which also supports the P + N cables
The two white wires have two brackets at the end behind the black rubber, which are pressed against the contacts on the heater.
This is a big mess when it comes to electrical contact.
You need to cut the brackets off the lugs, and solder the two wires opposite each stud on the heater with iron and tin.
Check that the two wires are facing the right way by looking at the black rubber support (there's a pin to ensure correct connection:D).biggrin.gif:D:D

hello,

my problem is the following:

the machine asked for a cleaning so I have done this as umpteen times before. when this was completed "clean" and "calk" were permanently lit red.

I tried the following:
- disconnect from power - nothing
- clean again - nothing
- unscrewed and after research cleaned the hoses, checked for cold - nothing
- cleaned the flow thingy - nothing
- followed the tip to reset: so far everything worked as described, except that as soon as the process is complete, I unplug it and plug it back in, I can't select a strong coffee because "clean/calk" lights up red again.

what makes me wonder is that it has only occurred since the cleaning.
am pretty frustrated, not particularly technically gifted and have also already ne flood caused because the nozzle has fallen off the sniffer piece sad.gif

has anyone an idea besides throwing away?

Hello,
I have a model EA8105 without screen and I have exactly the same concern as @frustrierterkaffetrinker above. Is there anyone who can help us?
Machine always very well maintained and pb appeared during a clean cleaning.

Thank you in advance for all your contributions.

I'd like to point out that during the reset procedure (thanks to the controller), the infusion plunger rises immediately after being lowered and the procedure stops (again the 4 lights).

Should I change the plunger?
Many thanks

KRUPS EA81* Reset With
or without cleaning slider. Pomace container and water container LED flash.

Attempting to change the grinder setting, grinder grinding time, grinding quantity, coffee powder quantity according to a procedure described in the forums will usually render the machine unusable. Pomace container and water container LED flash after restarting, no more button input possible, machine does not heat.
In a forum an unknown forum user has described a possible RESET for all concerned. I emphasize explicitly that I am not the tinkerer of this procedure, the praise is due to an unknown person. I only transfer the procedure into a readable form and add some steps.
I have tried it on a machine WITHOUT cleaning slides. It works !1. turn

off the power (remove the plug)2.
Remove the water tank, marc container, cleaning slide (if present)3
. set the flow control knob to 20ml4
. press and hold the "strong coffee" button on the far right and plug in the plug5
. all LEDs light up, water tank full, marc container, cleaning slide (if present) reset
6. adjust the flow control knob until all LEDs are off (approximately in the middle position)
7. place the container under the coffee spout and steam nozzle, now press the "weak coffee" button8
. Water is pumped through the coffee spout and steam nozzle, the brewing piston moves to the upper edge of the brewing chamber. The process is repeated twice. Then all red LEDs are off9
. Press the "weak coffee" button again10
. The machine lowers the brewing piston twice, the last time the brewing piston remains in its lowest position

.

When "all LEDs flash"
11. pull the mains plug and wait for at least 5 seconds12
. Insert the mains plug, the brewing piston moves to its initial position.
The machine works again.

For all users with display machines like EA8150, etc

Step by step for the calibration of the grinder:

- Unplug the coffee maker from the electrical network.
- Remove the water container, grounds container, and tray above the grounds container .
- Press the arrow button while you plug the coffee maker back into the network.
- Press the START button once and brackets [ ] will appear on the right side.
- Press the START button once and 3 zeros will appear inside the brackets [000] on the left side.
- Place both the water reservoir and the tray on top of the grounds container and grounds container.
- Now press the START button.

P2 appears.

- Press the steam button once to start the diagnostic.
- The water begins to flow out of the steam nozzle.
- Press the steam button 1 time.
- The piston goes down, but not all the way (twice).
- The piston goes all the way down, the water flows through the piston, and the disc is ejected.

P4 appears.

Disconnect the coffee maker from the electrical network.
Reconnect to the electrical network, turn on the coffee maker and it will have been calibrated.

i tried this procedure, but it wont start. My machine is without cleaning slide.
After i turn it on machine is bricked , it wont start asking for a grounds container to put.
I disassemble machine , short circuit on the board where it should be slide switch and calibration started. After calibration i remove jumper and now machine is asking for slide to put.... It seams that during the reset procedure you have to let machine know that this model is without slide... I trick it with jumper to finish calibration, but it is useless.
Can you help me with this problem, how to set machine right?

Hello,

I have an EA81P070 with screen.
The grinding time had decreased over time.
I applied the reset procedure by unplugging the machine with the bins removed, then plugging it back in by pressing the arrow.
I don't have the red thing above the drip tray as described in the reset procedure and so the reset didn't work. The drip tray light remains steady.
Everything is blocked.
Has anyone found the solution?

Thank you
Sincerely
Geoffrey

Dear troubled Krups ea81 friends....also with me now the error Calc and Clean has crept in... even after the instructions for reset I come from point 11 no longer continue because there does exactly nothing ... the standby light remains off and nothing stirs in the machine.... I start the cleaning program comes beautiful steam from the nozzle but absolutely not at the coffee outlet.... have tried it with different Möglcihkeiten---large cup pressed---small cup pressed...all no success the machine then goes back to Clean and Calk and flashes.....has there now already someone of you found another way??? I am aware that this thing is not a superstar but because of that I do not want to throw it away.... am grateful for any comment....glg from Austria

I wanted to report to the readers that I have at least found the culprit in my EA8108, but must honestly admit that it was a bit of a coincidence.
After I set out to disassemble the machine or open and times to get an "all-round view" I noticed when standing next to the water tank the small black magnetic float that was despite half-filled water tank in the lowest position.....funny I thought and soaked the tank without putting it in the machine for a few hours with liquid descaler (so that the magnetic float was completely covered with descaler), then I thought I'd try again with the cleaning program and let it run as well.....and lo and behold, both the control lights were off and after greenish rinse with pure water it makes coffee again in the old usual way.....so it was really a lime problem in the machine and I did not have to disassemble further.....this for all those here vllt have a similar problem.....sometimes you just do not see the simplest things.....I hope to have helped a little....it worked for me..... LG and continue good coffee biggrin.gif

Important addition:

After disconnecting from the mains and then restarting UNCONDITIONALLY
place a
12. large cup both under the coffee spout, as well as under the steam nozzle.
13. fill water tank
14. Press the "strong coffee" key
A program runs to fill the system.
Only then does it run again as usual.

This is a shitty andwort

If the Krups EA81* remains stuck in the reset menu, put the waste bowl back in place and the water bowl, remove it from the socket, and then hold down the settings button with the gear wheel, put it back in the socket and a menu will appear, after that, press the on/off button and a power cable will appear on the screen flashing, unplug it, wait 10 seconds and then start normally, it worked for me.

So mine now seems to have completely hung up....
- It constantly shows the symbol that the coffee grounds container is missing.
- Placing a container under the steam and coffee outlets flashes.
- The K with drip flashes.
- It flashes Press Start, but you can't press Start, just like you can't press ANYTHING else....

HELP?!?!?? sad.gif((
