Hello,

We have been proud and satisfied owners of an ESAM 5500 Perfecta for two weeks now and have a question.

When I prepare cappuccino, I don't know how many, I don't always want to press the Clean button after every cup, when the last cappuccino is drunk, the display doesn't show "Press Clean button" for cleaning with hot steam.

Must ask stupidly: Do I unintentionally trigger a cappuccino again to get the message back or how? Otherwise I'd have to remove the milk container without cleaning, which I don't want and should????

Also the crema isn't so nicely adjusted yet, on what number did you set the grinder so that it's nice and creamy?

I'd be very happy about an answer.

Love greetings

The Cleantaste may (and should) also be activated at any time without further ado, even if the device does not explicitly ask for it....

If you want to prepare several milk drinks one after the other, you don't have to press the clean button after each drink. Then it is enough to press it after the last one.
I also use the button often before the preparation of the first drink to preheat the pipes.

I get the best crema at a fine grinding degree.

Zero problemo, you press the cappu button twice, then you only get milk/foam. If enough milk, Cappu button again to stop. Allow milk/foam to stand briefly so that the milk (bottom) separates from the foam (top). Then leave an espresso on it, FERTIG!

If you stick to what I wrote, you can do the same L.M. with less effort. Adjust the control so that the milk/foam ratio fits and do not stick to the marks. There's never 100% milk foam anyway. I would never do an effort like that on Youtube for myself.

Hey, I also have the 5500 for a few days and am very satisfied. What irritates me, however, is that the chrome coffee spout has turned white in a few small areas, and the "chrome" has apparently come off.

How can this happen? I didn't hit it with a glass for sure. Could it possibly be due to hot water splashes when cleaning the milk nozzle? Otherwise, the coffee spout only came into contact with milk foam once, when the glass got a little full cool.gif

Merry Christmas to you all smile.gif
