Hello,
would like to post our experience with the EQ7 mentioned above.
First of all, this is our first fully automatic coffee machine, therefore no possibility of comparison with other machines. To date we (2 pers.) have drunk approx. 600 cups of coffee and approx. 600 glasses of latte. Machine is therefore in use almost every day more often.
EQ7 purchased mid April 09. We chose the EQ7 because it was easy to clean and also because the milk foam was delicious during the demonstration. The Siemens service was also presented to us as exemplary. And this is exactly what we were able to test and confirm. The service works Super.
Only unfortunately we had to use it already in Nov. 09. Ceramic grinding mechanism defective (broken). The machine was then delivered directly back home approx. 1 week later. Machine was even cleaned and was again OK..
Last week I then determined that the water tank had a tear. And that where we only rarely remove the tank (is filled with other water tank, goes faster!). This decent got replaced (Saturn) and that even in less than a week.
Now we have the next problem with the EQ7 (slowly it's getting a little annoying now!). And that's the milk froth nozzle, as already read here in the forum. The milk is no longer foamed properly. It is large porous (are already bubbles) and the glass is not really full anymore. The milk also collapses quickly. You can really hear how air is sucked in. I informed the hotline by email as soon as I read here in the forum what it is. Now we have to wait and see and drink coffee ????.
Otherwise we are satisfied with the EQ7, even though the water consumption is very high, as I think. But you can live with that the coffee and also the latte or cappuccino are top delicious (if the milk froth nozzle works!). I can't confirm here that the milk should only be lukewarm, it's enough to burn your fingers.
Consumption: The EQ7 is a shapely device with good coffee and (hopefully) only small weaknesses.
So, that's it for now from my side. I hope the length of the lyrics doesn't scare anyone off.
