Hello!

After I have used filters for a long time now, but now only want to decalcify, I have removed the last filter some time ago. I thought I'd told the machine, but somehow it didn't get the message, so it was "filter" again on the display. Here in the forum I read, among other things, that a decalcification in the meantime is appropriate anyway. So now it's time!

How can I decalcify without being prompted by the machine?
And maybe a second question, how can I tell the machine that I'm not using any filters anymore? Can someone tell me that step by step?

Greeting Wilma

I think we can do everything with pleasure, if you tell us what kind of device you have ;-)

additionally you should adjust the water hardness correctly (see chapter 4 of the BDA):

Press the programming button.
Illuminated ring is active.
FILTER
Turn the Rotary Switch until the display shows the following
message:
HARDNESS
Now press the Rotary Switch to enter the program item
.
LEVEL 3
Turn the Rotary encoder until the desired level
appears.
For example, LEVEL 4
Press the Rotary encoder to confirm the desired level
.
HARDNESS
Press P button
READY

The water hardness in °dH you learn from your water supplier (homepage)

The individual levels mean the following:
STAGE 1 German water hardness grade 1 - 7°

STAGE 2 German water hardness grade 8 - 15°

STAGE 3 German water hardness grade 16 - 23°

STAGE 4 German water hardness grade 24 - 30°

When you have adjusted all this, Mascjine will prompt you to decalcify in good time.

DESCALING DEVICE

- Switch off the appliance
- Remove the foamer
- Press the care button until the following message appears "Empty the dish"
- Carry out the cleaning and reinsert it
- Then put the descaler into the water tank
- and the appliance already says "Open the tap"
- Now just follow the instructions ;-)

Does anyone know how to manually decalcify the F90 (first generation)?

The BA doesn't say anything about this, only that a prompt comes when you don't use a filter.

Filter is set to "no".
When I hold down the Plegetaste key for a long time, the message "Empty tray" appears, but cannot select anything.
But I think that only the normal cleaning program is started here. Or am I wrong and it's the calcification program?

Hello everyone,
I have a problem. I have a Jura Impressa F50 and would like to decalcify it. The filter is already deactivated and the machine is switched off. If I now press care as described above, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
love greetings Alex

If nothing happens, the mains plug is not plugged in or the machine is broken. Otherwise you should not proceed as described under "Care", but as described under "Decalcification". These are two different things and care has nothing to do with decalcifying...

If the machine is OFF - care button pressed for more than 3 seconds, then decalcification process should start.

Hello together,
The mains plug is plugged in and the machine works otherwise perfectly.
The word "under" was a typo; it should read "as described below", so as "descaling" described by you here.
I tried it several times today and it didn't work again... 😩.
love greetings Alex
