Difference Ristretto Espresso Coffee

I've been looking around a little bit, but somehow found nothing concrete to the difference of the 'products' ristretto, espresso and coffee at Jura machines.

More precisely: For example, with the J line, the amount of water (and aroma and temp.) for the 3 products is adjustable, but what about the amount of coffee? Is it the same for all three? Or to put it another way: Is a "coffee" with 130 ml, for example, equal to a "Ristretto" with 130 ml (plus, of course, aroma and temp. equal)?

I can't really imagine right now. On the other hand, you could freely assign the three keys, e.g. with Expresso, normal coffee and the BigDaddy pot biggrin.gif

You will not get a real espresso or ristretto from any KVA (except Qickmill). Reason: Grinding degree too coarse, brewing pressure too weak, throughput time too short, temperature too low. You can find the right parameters for these drinks at Kaffeewiki.de.

I agree with Helmut Boe and add.
that a real ristretto is made with about 15-25ml water and about 9gr coffee
espresso 25-35ml and about 7-8gr max 9gr coffee.

for technical reasons this is not possible with a VA but with the right settings and good espresso beans it gets a good edible and optically beautiful "espresso" hin
