Hello together,

after I've read a lot of articles about this topic and still can't get any further, I'd like to describe my problem here.

After I've read Siemens Surpresso S40 (TK64001), the display will show the message : "Device heats" for about 20 sec, then directly "Fault 8".Thank you in advance for every answer!!

Hi,

as simply screw the device back on as it was. then please only replace the drip pan then the problem is gone.

As an additional limit switch for the drip pan has been added from production 8701 upwards and the controls were the old ones, the software was flashed and this was assigned to fault 8.

This error is triggered when the pin on the contact bowl is either bent upwards or broken off, the bowl is no longer detected which can then be detected by not moving the brewing unit because the pomace should not fall into the appliance but into the collecting bowl.

Best regards

Hello KAVO2010,

what shall I say, except HEARTLY THANK YOU!

It wasn!
>not the collection tray itself, or its "pen", but the microswitch, which is actuated by the pen. (and of this one must know first of all, the error message does not give too much! :-) )
Whatever the case, I replaced the microswitch and the S40 runs as on the first day.

Thank you very much again and a nice WE,
Wolfgang

Hello,

>For you it's the drive limit switches that are two microswitches that are worn out, because the 83er also has fault 8 indicated here you don't get the brewing unit out because the control does not know which position the drive is in and drives until the brewing unit gets stuck or jammed.

Replace switch then everything is fine :-)

so I can leave the jammed brewing unit inside and after exchanging the limit switches the brewing unit will go back to the way it used to be anyway ??

Yes, as a rule, it is.

Only in rare cases must the drive be retracted manually.

Hello,

my Bosch Benvenuo B30 also shows disturbance 8. Now I have seen that a pen at the back of the drip pan has broken off - this could be the reason?

Where can I get a replacement - like a new drip pan or the switches?

My B30 coffee maker also displayed error 8.
I disassembled the machine and searched for the error for hours. But I didn't find what I was looking for.
Thanks to your advice I took a closer look at the drip pan and see there, the pen is broken off.
Many thanks for the tip. I was on the verge of scrapping the machine.

Same problem. Error 8 is displayed. Where exactly is this switch and how do I unscrew it?
Ferner the water gets hot for the steam but the coffee is cold.
Where do I start looking.
Thanks
Mandi

Got the same problem with a NEFF C7660N1/04.
Disassembled the machine - checked all microswitches - all switch cleanly.

NOTHER FAULT 8.

Now the collection tray has 2 contacts at the back. There are also pens - but I can't get to the contacts in the machine......Where are they and how can I test them?

Love coffee roasted greetings
Heinrich
Gladly also by phone.
