The Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Jura presented its new Giga6 machine at IFA 2019 - the "professional machine for the home" as described by the manufacturer.

The Giga6 is equipped with two pumps and two thermoblocks as well as two electrically adjustable ceramic disc grinders, which can grind and combine different types of coffee at the same time. The user can decide whether one or the other variety is to be used at 25, 50, 75 or 100 percent.

A total of 28 individually programmable coffee variations can be prepared with the Giga6, with Cortado (a Spanish coffee variation consisting of espresso and milk froth) being added to the range. In addition, the Giga6 has the so-called one-touch lungo function. This adds hot water to the extracted coffee.

New with the Giga6 is also a residual water disposal system. The residual water bowl is designed so that it can be removed, emptied and inserted with just one hand. Their centre of gravity is positioned in such a way that no water spills over. In addition, the Giga6 is equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT touchscreen color display.

The Giga6 in aluminium will be available in autumn. The recommended retail price is 3,499 euros.
