At the ifa in Berlin, De'Longhi presented its latest capsule machine Gran Lattissima for Nespresso capsules. The biggest innovation used in this machine is the improved milk foam production system.
The new milk frothing system adapts the consistency of the milk froth to the selected product during preparation. For example, Latte Macchiato is given a slightly stiffer milk foam to create a beautiful optical separation between the layers of coffee and milk foam. Cappuccino, on the other hand, is a mixture of one third espresso, one third milk and one third foam. The milk system is cleaned with the aid of steam via the integrated cleaning program. To do this, simply set the knob to "Clean" after use. The removable milk container can be conveniently stored in the refrigerator.
Operation is via nine backlit soft-touch direct dialling keys. There is a choice of three pure coffees and six milky coffee drinks such as cappuccino, latte macchiato and flat white (double espresso with milk foam that ends at the edge of the cup).
The Gran Lattissima is now available in black and white (Fresh White) for a recommended retail price of 399 euros.
