Espresso blend 80/20 (Arabica/Robusta), fruity,'beery' depending on the preparation. The Lampone bridges the gap between the acid-poor, rather one-dimensional Italian-style bar-espressi and the'acid bombs' of the newer 3rd wave movement. Depending on the method and temperature of preparation, the fruitiness is well balanced and can move towards forest berries or apricots without'acidifying' the espresso. As the preparation temperature rises, the impression of fruit disappears in favour of a light, almost never bitter Italo espresso. The round overall impression is also enhanced by the Robusta content of 20 %, which ensures that the fruitiness does not take on any unpleasant features.
