Lampocoy is a small community with just under 500 inhabitants in the coffee growing area of Nuevo Oriente in the eastern highlands of Guatemala. The specific microclimate, a height of 1,200m and the mineral-rich and very deeply weathered soils allow a very high-quality coffee to thrive here. The racy and full Arabica smells of cocoa and warm earth. Typical features are its large volume, very fine acidity and notes of caramel and pecan. From November to February, the ripe coffee cherries are picked by hand, wet processed, dried and carefully selected.
