Normally, green coffee is treated with chemical solvents (e.g. methylene chloride) to remove caffeine. Unlike the conventional industrial process, our Hochland Arabica was decaffeinated gently, naturally and particularly mildly with carbon dioxide (CO2) and roasted by us in a long-term process. Currently, this highland mixture is being compiled with provenances from Peru. This highland coffee of excellent quality produces a full, strong cup, which one will hardly notice that it is decaffeinated coffee. It is also very suitable as a decaffeinated, mild espresso.
