Wahana Andong sari was an Indonesian varietal that was released by the Indonesian Coffee and Cacao research institute. It is selected from a popular Catimor that was brought from Colombia to Indonesia. Andong sari was thought to be a hybrid cross from Catimor, Caturra and Hibrido de timor (HDT) so as to give resistance to leaf rust which wipe out the entire typica variety in Indonesia coffee industry in the 1880`s. Futhermore, this variety also has a resistance against two major nematodes problem and boost production yield. Andongsari was mainly grow in East Java region and a little bit in Lintong region.
