Honduras has neighbours with the neighbouring countries of Guatemala and Nicaragua, where coffee has flourished and been cultivated for years. Meanwhile, however, the former banana republic cultivates a lot of coffee plants itself and buys the cutting from its neighbours with one or the other top bean. In the meantime, coffee has matured into the country's most important export product alongside the yellow curved fruit.
