Hensler Indonesien: Flores Bajawa, 250 g

Hensler Indonesien: Flores Bajawa

Manufacturer product description

Fascinating, that is the lasting impression when you try this extraordinary Arabica coffee. Already during preparation, a fragrant flowery smell spreads. Its aromas remind of dark chocolate and wild berries and enchant every frahling lover. Despite its lightness, the Flores Bajava has a complex body that invites you to get to know nuances of taste. Flores Island is one of the small Sunda Islands, an archipelago of Indonesia. The cultivated areas of the Flores Bajawa are relatively high compared to other Indonesian coffee varieties. The highest point is 1,700 m above sea level. Not only the cultivation height is decisive for its extraordinary taste. The volcanic soils, the humid sea climate and the cool altitudes offer ideal cultivation conditions. Shade trees soften the intensive sunlight and offer sufficient wind protection. The Flores Bajawa is harvested from May to early June according to the so-called `selective picking` method. Here, only the ripe, red coffee cherries are picked by hand in several passes. This Arabica coffee is prepared wet for the optimum development of its variety of flavours.
