BLACK POWER espresso blend, heavily roasted, 60% premium Arabica, 40% Robusta Africa, this wonderful continent, is the origin of many things. Not only the aromatic Arabica coffees (Ethiopia), but also the stronger Robusta coffees (Uganda) come from here. In creating this blend I was guided by two thoughts: on the one hand, I wanted to harmoniously combine the very different, wonderfully rich aroma and taste of top coffees from Africa, and on the other hand, it should become a strong blend, which should be understood as direct competition to Italian blends! As a specialist for pure Arabica gourmet coffees, I was not particularly interested in Robusta coffees for a long time, as they are generally rather one-dimensional in taste. But there are also wonderful gourmet variations at Robustas. And last time I tasted new coffees I discovered a truly interesting Robusta from Uganda, which is now the soul of this espresso blend.
