ROBUSTA GIAVA Premium-Robusta, extra large, Java-Indonesia, washed (Until the new harvest in spring 2011 it has no "extra large" anymore; As a replacement I have beans of the size "Screen 15/16″ - also delicious!) The Robusta bean is generally a coffee bean of inferior quality than an Arabica bean. This is due to the fact that Robusta is largely industrially processed. They also grow faster and produce much more caffeine, which of course protects them from pests that occur more frequently in deeper growing areas. Now, however, there are small farmers in Java (Indonesia) who have given the Robusta plants all their care and have, over the years, bred a product that makes frahling lovers rave - the Java Robusta! A coffee that can be enjoyed as one of the very few Robustas of its kind, and with its very creamy taste and an aroma between earthy, strong and yet a light sweetness is a true pleasure experience and a real rarity in its kind. The ROBUSTA GIAVA contains only the best and largest beans of a harvest (extra large bean).
