Country of origin: Galapagos Islands Taste experience: full-bodied taste, discreet acidity, balanced. The Galapagos Islands are home to one of the most extraordinary coffees in the world. The climate is temperate due to the cold Antarctic ocean current (known as the Humboldt Current). The coffee trees grow on relatively young and nutrient-rich volcanic soils. The plantations are naturally irrigated with spring water from a high lagoon. As the island is a nature reserve, the conditions are strict and it is not possible to enlarge the plantations.
