In the early 20th century the cultivation of the coffee plantation was abandoned due to economic changes and climatic problems. Coffee has only been grown here again since the 1970s. Annual production is approximately 150 tons. The north-east of Australia has the ideal climate for coffee production and has the invaluable advantage that the usual diseases of the plant do not occur here. The coffee is packaged in artfully printed jute bags (20 kg) with motifs from cave painting in the surrounding area.
