Peru borders on Ecuador in the north, Colombia in the south and supplies one of the world's best coffees from controlled organic cultivation. Nearly all Peruvian coffee is cultivated in the tropical rain forests on the eastern foothills of the Andes, mainly by small farmers at 80% relative humidity and 3000 litres of precipitation per square metre. The shade trees of the rainforest and the frequent jungle mists create a slowly maturing coffee with a unique aroma. Our'Inca Gold' comes from Naranjillo, in the north of Peru, south of the origin of the Amazon. The cooperative was founded in 1964 by 32 small farmers and today supplies coffee of unique quality from controlled organic cultivation. Our'Inca Gold' has a medium, very elegant fullness with sweet mango aromas and a finish reminiscent of dark chocolate.
