In 1993 we enthusiastically joined the TransFair movement because we shared its objectives with conviction: - We too wanted to create better living and trading conditions for people from third countries - Solidarity with small farmers is important to us - Not only profit thinking should be the maxim of our actions - values such as quality, health awareness, fairness, sustainability and Transparency is an existential part of our company philosophy Our noble product `Coffee` should be strengthened in its goodness, its variety and freshness. We did not want to leave it to large food companies and discounters as mass-produced goods. Since 2006 TransFair Germany has also made it possible to sell coffee through discounters, which are the cause of the price war and thus also responsible for the underpayment of coffee farmers. In addition, the organization is devouring more and more fees for bureaucracy and administration. of the Fair Trade brand. At the TransFair Licensee Meeting in Cologne in September 2008 we were informed that not only Lidl, but also Aldi, Tchibo and Nestle have become members since 2006. For us TransFair Germany has thus left the common philosophy and business basis. We were forced to cancel the 15 year membership of the company Hagen Kaffee Heilbronn at TransFair. However, we will of course continue to supply you with fairly traded coffee, with and without the BIO seal and in the usual HAGEN quality, ground or unground, freshly roasted, ecologically packed, as quickly as possible and in our shops. Nothing changes for our customers. In cooperation with the Deutsche Röstergilde, of which we are a founding member, we will offer you a sustainable, reputable seal that is credible, verifiable and in line with our company philosophy.
